Sakiina Hospital is a specialty hospital founded on the 1st of January 2022 by renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Abdirashid Jama the winner 2023 of Best Orthopedic Reward in Somalia. There was a desperate need for an Orthopaedic trauma center in Somalia, especially in the Mogadishu environment. Our particular hospital fills that void, dealing with a vast amount of trauma, joint reconstruction, and revision surgery: pediatric and congenital birth deformities and elderly needs.
Sakiina Hospital is aiming to expand its services to geriatrics for the next couple of years and focusing elderly trauma. Our hospital is accessible, affordable, and with personalized care. It’s a 20-bed hospital with over 20 staff members, one staff per patient. Our goal is to extend our services for Orthopaedic and trauma surgery over the years to a 114-bed capacity. Sub-specialties like Sports Surgery, Spine Surgery, Orthopaedic Tumor Surgery, and Geriatric will also be offered at our facility.
The hospital is one of Somalia’s leading trauma institutes and elderly care and bears part of the country’s heavy trauma and orthopedic load. Sakiina Hospital serves patients from all over Somalia and beyond and has an active, recognized Orthopaedic Training which is registered and recognized by the Ministry of Health in Somalia
